In 2022, consumers' purchasing decisions were mainly guided by the price and seasonality of fruit and vegetables

According to the multi-country survey on the Europeans’ attitudes towards Fruit and Vegetables from Europe, carried out in the framework of the 'CuTE' projects for the promotion of fruit and vegetables in the European Union 2019 - 2022, PRICE and SEASONALITY are the two main criteria for European consumers when buying fruit and vegetables.
The survey is carried out annually by Adelante between 2019 and 2022 in 4 countries (Belgium, France, Germany and Spain), with an annual sample of 8.534 individuals (2022).
